About the Job:
MICS is seeking a Consultant to produce a financial management manual for an agricultural research project for the development of strategic crops in Nigeria that is funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB). Consultant is expected to come from member states of the AfDB.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Production of a financial management manual that includes:
Accounting principles and standards to be used;
Treatment of some income and expenditure;
Accounting chart etc.
Qualifications:
- Financial management consultant or chartered accountant;
- Minimum of 8-10 years post qualification experience and minimum of 3-6 years experience on this type of assignment;
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards;
- Knowledge of income and expenditure projections;
- Experience in developing accounting charts for different purposes, templates for reporting accounting statements and in the development of accounting, coding, and terminologies and their corresponding abbreviations;
- Knowledge of entrepreneurial and agricultural finance;
- Technical skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis;
- Fluency and strong writing abilities in English.
